Welcome & Introductions – Katie Hussey
Positive Affirmations - Alison D’Entremont

Musical Guest – Grace Shears
Grace is a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and a Psychological First Aid Instructor. She is the CEO of the nonprofit organization, Pathways to Better Days - PTSD Peer Support group. She is also certified in Health/Safety and Risk Management and has first-hand experience with the Disaster Management and Emergency Response Teams within the Canadian Red Cross.

Grace is a singer, songwriter and guitar player who was introduced to music at a very young age. Just before the COVID19 pandemic hit, she was in the process of organizing a local songwriters circle to bring awareness to the needs lacking within the mental health community. She invites you to join them on their journey to raising the vibration through the Pathways to Better Days - Music heals the soul group on Facebook. The group is a safe place for musicians to gather and share their gifts with a global audience.

Guest Speaker – Elaine Dunphy - the owner of Nia on the Rock
Nia is short for Neuromuscular Integrative Action. It is a philosophy and lifestyle practice that originated in the US over 35 years ago. It was created by Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas. This practice combines dance arts, healing arts and martial arts. Nia reconnects you to your inner child. Through movement and music, Nia provides an opportunity for movement that is comfortable in the body. Elaine’s favourite things are Nia and Joy and she is thrilled to share both at this month’s Virtual Positive Thinker’s meeting.

Elaine finds her joy through movement. Nia is a movement practice. Elaine took her Nia white belt in June 2016 and started teaching in early 2017. Nia teaches awareness and fosters creativity. It builds community. It allows young people and “Wellderlies” alike to dance together in an environment that feels free and open to bringing joy into your body and into your life. Nia reconnects you to your inner child. Nia and joy are two of Elaine’s favourite things and she is thrilled to be invited to share both with us on the 30th.

Grab a coffee, relax and enjoy! Looking forward to seeing you online.
