The Historic Sites Association of NL is proud to reintroduce its legacy exhibition, Newfoundland A Place Called Home.

This colourful collection features 30 clay sculptures by artist Joan Parsons Woods, and chronicles her family's life from 1885 to 1945. Inspired by her childhood memories of Newfoundland culture and tradition, the sculptures tell the story of a special place that so many call home.

Newfoundland A Place Called Home has been called "one of the best cultural representations of our province's history and heritage."

The exhibition is accompanied by interpretative signage, photograph reproductions, and " Memories In Clay" video, showing the artist at work on the collection.

Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted. For more detail, contact (709)739-7994. Additional information is available online at https://www.historicsites.ca/newfoundland-a-place-called-home
