Christmas Tree Recycling Drop-off Sites

Location:
Quidi Vidi Lake and Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility
Start Date:
Sunday, December 29, 2013 - 8:00am to Sunday, January 12, 2014 - 10:30pm

Real Christmas trees may be dropped off for recycling (i.e. mulching) at one of two sites, details below. Please note that we no longer use the Bowring Park West parking lot nor the St. Pat’s Ball Park as tree drop-off sites; do not bring your used trees there.

Drop off your real Christmas tree at:

  1. Quidi Vidi Lake, west parking lot (off The Boulevard, near the Legion), between December 29, 2013 and January 12, 2014.
  2. Residential Drop Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility (340 East White Hills Road), from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Tuesday and Saturday from December 31, 2013 to January 11, 2014.

Trees must be unwrapped and free of nails, hooks and ornaments. Real trees dropped off at these two sites are chipped and used for horticultural purposes in City parks and open spaces.
Reduce your garbage and give your tree new life by dropping off your tree for mulching.
