Downtown Christmas Parade - Road Closures
The 2016 Annual Downtown Christmas Parade, organized by Downtown St. John’s, has been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, Dec. 4 at noon
Residents attending the parade are encouraged to take advantage of the Santa Shuttle provided by Metrobus. Starting at 10 a.m. the Santa Shuttle will operate FREE of charge, from two locations. Return Shuttles will begin operating immediately following the parade.
- From Confederation Building parking lot, Prince Phillip Drive, drop off at Bannerman Road.
- From the NL Housing Building, 2 Canada Drive, drop off at Mile One Centre.
GoBus users can book their ride by calling 368-8887, TTY 368-1620, by email gobus@mvtcanada.com or text, 765-5847. GoBus drop off and pick up location is on George Street. The accessible viewing area will be located at 354 Water Street in front of Canada Post and the designated parking area is located on George Street.
Due to the parade, the following parking restrictions and tow away zones, beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 until 3 p.m.
