Expect Wait Times at RDO

There is a high volume of traffic at the Residential Drop Off (RDO) at Robin Hood Bay today Tuesday, May 19.
Vehicles are permitted on the RDO parking lot; wait times are potentially in the range of 2-3 hours. As the lot fills vehicles not yet on the lot are asked to return later so as to not block site access to commercial vehicles destined for the landfill or recycling facility. Vehicles are also not permitted to wait on or block traffic flow on East White Hills Road.
This week the RDO open this week 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is accepting bulk garbage, bagged garbage and metals. Users are asked to bring waste to the RDO on the day designated for their surname:
- Tuesday, May 19: Surnames A-J
- Wednesday, May 20: Surnames K-O
- Thursday, May 21: Surnames P-T
- Friday, May 22: Surnames U-Z
Those who cannot visit on the day designated by their surname may visit 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21.
