Hydrant Flushing and Testing - Various Locations

Further to the City’s Public Service Announcement, Hydrant Flushing and Testing will be taking place in the following areas on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• Water Street, Cabot Street, Patrick Street area
• Southside Road area
• Waterford Bridge Road, Craigmillar Avenue, Hamilton Avenue area
• Military Road area
• Lakeview Avenue area
• Linegar Avenue area

 
Residents in the immediate vicinity may notice temporary changes in their water service, including low water pressure, discolouration and/or cloudiness, or slight changes in the taste or smell of water. Residents experiencing water changes are asked to run the cold water tap in a sink until it clears.
 
Residents are also reminded to refrain from doing laundry where possible while flushing continues to lessen the likelihood of clothes becoming stained by discoloured water.
