Lane Reduction and Road Closure: Water Street and Queen Street

Location:
Queen Street and intersection of Water Street and Queen Street
Start Date:
Monday, April 2, 2018 - 7:00am to Saturday, May 5, 2018 - 7:00pm

Due to phase one of the five-year project to rehabilitate underground infrastructure the following traffic disruptions are in effect:

  • Queen Street is closed from George Street to Water Street, until early May
  • The area near the intersection of Queen Street and Water Street will be reduced to one lane at times, until early May

To aid in the construction work, thirteen parking meters in the area will be bagged indicating no parking at those metered spots, and the nearby east-bound Metrobus stop will be temporarily moved further east.

Throughout the duration of the project construction takes place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays.
Pedestrian traffic will be maintained along sidewalks and crosswalks. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes.
