Lane Reduction / Closure (New Year's Eve Quidi Vidi Lake)

The Boulevard, Lake Avenue, Carnell Drive, Lakeview Avenue, Legion Road

Thursday, December 31, 2020 - 6:30pm to Friday, January 1, 2021 - 9:00pm

Motorists are advised that the following road closures will come into effect at 6:30 pm. Jan.1, with the exception of The Boulevard between Legion Road and East White Hills Road, which will be closed at 7:30 p.m.
 
Lake Avenue: A Parking Enforcement Officer will be stationed on the top of Lake Avenue at King's Bridge Road preventing vehicles from accessing Lake Avenue.
 
Carnell Drive: A Parking Enforcement Officer will be stationed at Carnell Drive at The Boulevard preventing vehicles accessing Carnell Drive.
 
Lakeview Avenue: A Parking Enforcement Officer will be stationed at Lake View Avenue at Forest Road preventing vehicles from accessing Jack Reardigan’s Place.
 
Legion Road: A Parking Enforcement officer will be stationed at Legion Road and The Boulevard at 7:30 p.m.

Quidi Vidi Walking Trail - Partial Closure

The Quidi Vidi dog park and a portion of the walking trail around Quidi Vidi Lake is closed for fireworks setup on December 31 and will be reopened after the fireworks display is completed. 
Parking lots on either side of the Quidi Vidi dog park will be closed.
 
Christmas tree Drop Off at Quidi Vidi Lake

To accommodate the fireworks setup, the Christmas tree drop off at the large gravel parking lot off The Boulevard will be closed from 12 noon on Tuesday, December 31 until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 1.
 
Accessible Parking

Accessible Parking will be available at the Dominion Parking Lot for the fireworks display. The City also recommends attendees remain in their vehicles to watch the fireworks.
