Notice to Motorists: New Year's Eve Road Closures and Parking Information

UPDATE - New Gower Street - East Bound from Waldegrave to Queens Road will close at 6 p.m. on Dec 31.

For safety reasons, the following streets will be closed from 8 a.m. on Dec 31, to 8 a.m on Jan 1:

New Gower - East Bound from Adelaide Street to Duckworth Street
New Gower - West Bound from Queens Road to Barter's Hill
Adelaide Street (Taxis Only)
George Street (Taxis Only between Queen and Adelaide)

Accessible Parking for the event is on Queen Street.

Parking Options for NYE Concert at City Hall
The City Hall Parking Garage will not be open to the public during this event. Parking meters in the downtown area are free on evening and weekends.  Additionally, there are several parking garages that are under a 10 minute walk to City Hall.

Parking Garage at 351 Water Street
351 Water Street has 245 stalls open to the public. Parking is free for residents attending the concert event at City Hall. Entrance gates to the garage will open at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and close at 1 a.m., the exits will remain open all night.

Atlantic Place
The Atlantic Place Parking garage (entrance on Clift's Baird's Cove) will provide parking on New Year’s Eve between 7:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. A $5 fee for parking will be charged upon entry with the proceeds being donated to the Community Food Sharing Association. Vehicles must be removed from the garage by 1:30 a.m. on January 1, 2017.  Otherwise, they will remain in the garage until Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
