Parking Meters Bagged in the Downtown due to the Heavy Snowfall

A number of parking meters in the downtown have been bagged due to narrow road conditions and to facilitate snow clearing.  This is necessary to maintain the flow of traffic and emergency vehicle access.  These meters are covered with yellow bags and vehicles that are parked on them will be ticketed and may be towed if they are obstructing traffic.

If you are attending the hockey game or another function in the downtown, you are encouraged to use the Metrobus Park and Ride or use one of the parking garages.

The City of St. John's apologizes for any inconvenience caused and hopes to have these spots cleared as quickly as possible.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work as quickly as possible to clear the streets in the downtown.
