Recreation Division Daily Summer Recreation Report

This is the City of St. John’s Summer Recreation Report updated on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 7:00 am.

The Teakwood Park / Southlands Activity Centre will be held inside this morning at Morris Academy on Roosevelt Avenue in Mount Pearl.

The Bowring Park Outdoor Swimming Pool opens today as well the Bowring Park Splash Pad will be operating from 9 am to 7 pm.

The Trailwalkers Program meets at 6:30 pm Wednesday evenings to walk a city trail. This week they walk the Virginia River Trail. Meet at the gravel parking lot across from the Legion on the Boulevard. Come on out, bring a friend and get active, it's fun and free.
 
All summer, there are Free Aqua Zumba Water Fitness classes Thursdays at 12 noon at the Bowring Park outdoor pool.
 
A reminder for Seniors that Thursday, July 11 is the 12th annual Seniors Program Party in the Park from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on the lawn of the Bowring Park Bungalow. Free admission for an afternoon of great friends, some snacks and great local live entertainment.
