Recreation Report Aug. 20 at 7a.m.

This is the City of St. John’s Summer Recreation Report updated on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at 7 a.m.

The Teakwood Park / Southlands Activity Centre will be held inside this morning at Morris Academy on Roosevelt Avenue in Mount Pearl.

There is a Free Aqua Zumba water fitness class Thursdays at 12 noon at the Bowring Park Swimming Pool.

The Trailwalkers program meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. to walk a trail around the city. This week they are walking the Mundy Pond Trail. Meet at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre parking lot.

The Bowring Park Swimming Pool will be closing for the summer. The last day of operation will be Sunday, Aug. 24. The Bowring Park Splash pad will remain in operation until Monday, Sept. 2
