Road Closures - New Year's Day Fireworks
Road Closures and No Stopping - Tow Away Zones
For safety reasons, the following streets will be closed from 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 1 until after the fireworks:
- The Boulevard
- Lake Avenue
- Carnell Drive
- Clancey Drive
- Lakeview Avenue
Vehicles parked in violation or parked such that they are obstructing traffic will be ticketed and towed. Parking lots on either side of the Quidi Vidi dog park will be closed. Accessible parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the Dominion parking lot. The same streets and parking lots will be closed approximately 5:30 p.m. should the fireworks be postponed to January 2.
Quidi Vidi Walking Trail – Partial Closure
The Quidi Vidi dog park and a portion of the walking trail around Quidi Vidi Lake will be closed for fireworks set up on Jan. 1 and will be reopened after the fireworks display is completed.
Pet owners - if your pet needs to go outside during the fireworks display, keep them on a leash for their safety.
Christmas Tree Drop Off at Quidi Vidi Lake
The Christmas tree drop off location at the large gravel parking lot off The Boulevard is closed from noon on Sunday, Jan. 1 until noon on Monday, Jan. 2 for the fireworks display.
