Traffic Diversion - New Gower Street

As a part of the ongoing construction on New Gower Street in front of City Hall, a temporary traffic diversion will be put in place on Tuesday, October 3rd. The diversion is expected to be in place during the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for the remainder of the week, however, this schedule is weather dependent and may be extended into the following week if required. In order to facilitate a full reconstruction of the westbound lanes, the eastbound lanes will be temporarily used to carry traffic in both directions. Flagspersons will be on site and construction signage will be in place to divert traffic accordingly. Local access to St. John's City Hall and Mile One Stadium will be permitted through the construction area as directed by the flagpersons on site. Long delays should be expected, so motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
