The Bannerman Park Loop will have a delayed opening. It is anticipated to open at 12 noon today, Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
The Loop, located in Bannerman Park, will open today, Wednesday, February 4,,2015 at 12 noon.

Please be advised that the City of St. John's ski and snowshoe rental program at the Winter Activity Centre located at North Bank Lodge, in C.A. Pippy Park is closed until further notice due to weather and trail conditions.

The Loop in Bannerman Park will remain closed for the rest of today, Thursday, January 29, 2015. Ice conditions are not safe after the snow and rain. Staff will be back in the morning to continue to work on the ice to make it safe for skating.

The City of St. John's, Recreation Division, advises that the Winter Family Scavanger Hunt scheduled for today, Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Bowring Park has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

Please be advised that The Loop, located in Bannerman Park will be closed for today Thursday, January 8, 2015 due to snowfall.
Due to the popularity and increased use of The Loop during the Christmas season, it is necessary to delay the opening times this weekend, January 3 and 4. The Loop will open at noon on Saturday and Sunday. This will allow additional time for staff to rebuild the ice that was worn away.
...Please note that the Hip Hop into Fall Event scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. in Memorial University's Parking Lot 16A has been cancelled.
The Wedgewood Park Recreation Centre will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 - 7 a.m., to Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 - 11:45pm, inclusive, to accommodate construction of the Paul Reynold's Community Centre. ...

The City of St. John's wishes to advise residents that due to poor field and turf conditions, all City of St. John's ball fields and soccer pitches are closed for the remainder of today Monday, Aug. 11, 2014. This closure will be reassessed on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at 8 a.m.
...The City of St.John's wishes to advise that as of 8:00 am , Sunday August 10, all city owned Ballfields & Soccer Pitches will reopen, but are subject to weather conditions. With localized thunderstorms still in the forecast there could be closures at individual locations.
