Application - 39 Airport Heights Drive

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted to the City of St. John’s by Rogers Communications Inc. requesting concurrence to construct a telecommunications tower located at 39 Airport Heights Drive.
 
In accordance with its obligations under the Radiocommunications Act and Industry Canada’s Tower Siting Procedure CPC-2-0-03, the City of St. John's hereby notifies residents in the vicinity of 39 Airport Heights Drive of Rogers’ intention to install an antenna system consisting of:

  • a slim monopole tower measuring 25 m in height (this is to include the telecommunications antennas, lighting rod and obstruction light);
  • a tower base measuring less than 1.5 m on either side;
  • a 2.86 m x 2.135 m equipment shelter at the base of the tower; and
  • a 1.8 m high steel wire fence surrounding the shelter and the tower.

The attached public information package has been prepared by Rogers as per Industry Canada's Antenna Tower Siting Procedures.
