Nominations for Membership Urban Forest Advisory Committee

The City of St. John’s is seeking nominations from city residents to serve as volunteer members of the Urban Forest Advisory Committee (UFAC). The term of membership is four years from January 2014 to January 2017. 
 
The Committee’s purpose is to advise Council on matters pertaining to the protection and health of the city’s urban forest, guided by the City’s Tree Regulations and the St. John’s Urban Forest Management Master Plan. Membership is comprised of citizen and organizational representatives with interest in the urban forest, as well as members of Council and City support staff. It meets quarterly, usually during midday. 
 
If you are interested, please submit a letter or e-mail indicating why you think you would make a good citizen representative. References on your behalf are also accepted though not mandatory. To make a submission or to obtain further information on UFAC’s Terms of Reference, please contact the Recording Secretary at the coordinates below. The deadline for submission of nominations is Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at 4:30 pm.
