Notice of Vacancies - R.E.A.L. Program Fundraising and Promotion Committee

The R.E.A.L. (Recreational Experiences and Leisure) Program Fundraising and Promotion Committee provides information, advice, planning and implementation support to the R.E.A.L. Program on matters related to increasing sustainable program funds and community recognition.
The City of St. John’s invites applications for representatives to serve on the R.E.A.L. Program Fundraising Committee for a two year term.
Vacancies exist as follows:
- Public Members: The Committee will be comprised of no more than two community members who have experience with not-for-profit organizations, fundraising or event management. Public members are volunteers and will receive no compensation for participation. Preference will be given to residents of St. John's.
- Organizations: The Committee will be comprised of no more than two members representing organizations relevant to not-for-profit organizations or those organizations operating with donated and/or grant funds.
- Corporations/ Businesses: The Committee will be comprised of no more than two members representing local, Atlantic or national corporations/businesses.
- Marketing and Promotions: The Committee will be comprised of no more than three members representing marketing and promotions organizations. Or individuals with a background in marketing and promotions. One member is to be from the City of St. John's Marketing and Communications Division.
- Fundraising: The Committee will be comprised of no more than three members with proven fundraising abilities
Experience working in the non-profit and/or fundraising sector would be an asset.
