Cancelled - Public Hearing - 120 LeMarchant Road

No submissions were received by the deadline date. Therefore, in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act, the public hearing is cancelled.

The St. John's Municipal Council adopted St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 135, 2015 and St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 624, 2015 at its regular meeting held January 4, 2016 and hereby gives notice of its intent to seek registration of the amendments from the Minister of Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act.
 
The effect of the St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 135, 2015, would be to re-designate land located atfrom the Commercial General Land Use District to the Residential High Density Land Use District.
 
The effect of the St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 624, 2015, would be to rezone land located at 120 LeMarchant Road from the Residential Mixed (RM) Zone to the Apartment High Density (A3) Zone.
 
The amendments are in reference to an application submitted by RJC Services, on behalf of PAR Holdings Ltd., to develop a 64 unit (condominium) apartment building (formerly the Harrington School site).

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in Foran/Greene Room, fourth floor City Hall, 7 p.m.. The Public Hearing will be conducted by an independent Commissioner appointed by Council. Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposed amendments must provide a signed written statement to the Office of the City Clerk by 9 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, either by mail: P.O. If no written objections to the amendments are received by the deadline noted, the public hearing for these amendments may be cancelled by the City in accordance with the provisions of the Urban and Rural Planning Act.
