Cancelled - Public Hearing - 140 & 156 Ladysmith Drive

No submissions were received by the deadline date. Therefore, in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act, the public hearing was cancelled.

The St. John’s Municipal Council adopted St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 133, 2015 and the St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 615, 2015 at its Regular Meeting held on September 14, 2015 and hereby gives notice of its intent to seek registration of the amendments from the Minister of Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act.
 
The purpose of St. John’s Municipal Plan Amendment Number 133, 2015 is to re-designate the property located at Civic Numbers 140 & 156 Ladysmith Drive from the Institutional District (INST) to the Residential Low Density District (RLD) Zone.
 
The purpose of St. John’s Development Regulations Amendment Number 615, 2015 is twofold: to amend the text of the Development Regulations by creating a new zone (the Residential Narrow Lot Zone) and an associated schedule of Permitted Uses and Development Standards/Zone Requirements; and to rezone the property located at Civic Numbers 140 & 156 Ladysmith Drive from the Institutional (INST) Zone and the Residential Kenmount (RK) Zone to the Residential Narrow Lot (RNL) Zone.
 
The amendments are in reference to a rezoning application submitted to the City of St. John’s by 11368 NL. Ltd. The rezoning is intended to accommodate development of the subject property for the purpose of 22 single detached dwellings on narrow lots.
