Tue, 2013/06/04 - 7:00pm

St. John’s Council, having adopted the above noted amendments on May 13, 2013, hereby gives notice of its intent to seek registration of these amendments from the Minister of Municipal Affairs in accordance with the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000.

The purpose of the Municipal Plan Amendment Number 112, 2013 is to allow a maximum building height of 16 storeys for the property located at Civic Number 50 Tiffany Lane.

The purpose of the Development Regulations Amendment Number 562, 2013 is to allow a maximum building height of 16 storeys for the same property.

The amendments are in reference to an application by KMK Properties Inc., to develop Stage 2 of an Independent and Assisted Living Facility and Residential Condominium Units on land facing Tiffany Lane. Stage 2 proposes the construction of two new 16 storey buildings. The site is zoned 'Institutional' and currently allows a maximum building height of 10 storeys (at the discretion of the St. John’s Council). The proposed text amendments are site-specific and would apply only to the application site on Tiffany Lane.
