Public Information Session-Quidi Vidi Village Overlay and Design Guidelines
The St. John's Municipal Council has adopted the revised Quidi Vidi Village Overlay Study and Design Guidelines. We invite residents and property owners in the village to a public information session to review the report. The study was carried out by Tract Consulting on behalf of the City and was presented in draft form at a public meeting in the fall of 2014. Following that, City staff met with interested people in one-on-one discussions to review concerns and questions. The report was revised based on public input.
The public information session, chaired by an independent facilitator, will review the report, its recommendations, future changes to land-use zones in the village, and opportunities for future development. The purpose of the study is to accommodate the needs of residents while ensuring that the village remains a desirable place for tourists to visit.
