Public Meeting - 729 Fowler's Road
The City of St. John's has received an application by Teen Challenge to open an addictions rehabilitation and treatment facility at 729 Fowler’s Road (former Circle Square Ranch). This facility will house up to 25 women and eight staff.
Fowler's Road originates in the Town of Conception Bay South and runs into St. John's past Peacekeepers Way (CBS Bypass Highway). This application requires upgrading and paving of approximately 1.6 kilometres of Fowler's Road, as this section of the road does not meet City standards for year-round access. This upgrade will be completed at the applicant’s expense.
To accommodate this facility, text amendments to the St. John’s Municipal Plan and St. John’s Development Regulations will be considered. A statement regarding personal care homes in the Rural District will be added the Municipal Plan while 'Personal Care Home' will be added in the Development Regulations as a Discretionary Use in the Rural (R) Zone.

The Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at 7 p.m., Foran/Greene Room, fourth floor, City Hall.
