Telecommunications Application - 42 Sugarloaf Place

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted to the City of St. John’s by Rogers Communications Inc. requesting concurrence to construct a telecommunications tower located at 42 Sugarloaf Place.
 
In accordance with its obligations under the Radiocommunication Act and Industry Canada’s Tower Siting Procedure CPC-2-0-03, the City of St. John's hereby notifies residents in the vicinity of 42 Sugarloaf Place of Rogers’ intention to install an antenna system consisting of:

  • a thirtyfive metre high self-support tower;
  • a 3.0m x 2.5m equipment shelter at the base of the tower; and
  • a 2.0 metre high steel wire fence surrounding the shelter and the tower.

 This application along with a public information package prepared by Rogers as per Industry Canada's Antenna Tower Siting Procedures, may be viewed at the Department of Planning, Development and Engineering, third floor, St. John’s City Hall. Any person wishing to make a submission on this application must provide a signed written statement to the Office of the City Clerk by noon, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, either by mail: P.O.
