January 08, 2014 - The City of St. John's On-Street Parking Ban for streets outside the designated downtown area came into effect at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8.
The winter On-Street Parking Ban is in effect daily and tickets will be issued to vehicles parked on the street between 12:30 and 7:30 a.m. regardless of weather or street conditions. This is necessary to avoid interference with snow clearing operations.

January 07, 2014 - Snow clearing activities are continuing throughout the City, focused on ensuring emergency vehicles have access to all streets. January 04, 2014 - Please be advised that the City of St. John's has closed its Warming Centre in the Foran/Greene Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. The City will continue to monitor the situation and should a need arise the warming centre will be reopened.
