The City of St. John's posts public advisories whenever we have an interruption in service to ensure the public is kept informed. Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Further to the City’s Public Service Announcement, Hydrant Flushing and Testing will be taking place in the following areas on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
...Due to poor field conditions, all City of St. John’s baseball/softball diamonds, soccer pitches and football fields will be closed for the remainder of the day.
The Nieuw Statendam has cancelled her visit to the Port of St. John’s.
Ship arrivals are subject to various conditions, including weather and ships’ schedules.
We regret this schedule change and hope to see Nieuw Statendam again soon.

Mundy Pond Trail has now reopened.
PREVIOUS:
Mundy Pond Trail from Blacker Avenue to the Jumpstart Playground is closed due to flooding in the area.
Trail will reopen when water recedes and trail has been inspected for damage.
Due to poor field conditions, all City of St. John’s baseball/softball diamonds, soccer pitches and football fields will be closed for the remainder of the day.
UPDATE: Bowring Park has reopened. Sections of trail are closed to facilitate repair. Bidgood Park boardwalk and sections of trail are closed to facilitate repair.

Motorists are advised there will be a lane reduction at Main Road in the vicinity of Viguers Road to facilitate work of the Gould’s Servicing Phase 3 Force Main project. Traffic will be maintained using temporary traffic signals; signage and flag persons will be in place.
