The City of St. John's posts public advisories whenever we have an interruption in service to ensure the public is kept informed. Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Motorists are advised that the Harbour Front 10k Road Race will take place this Sunday starting at 8:00am and finishing by 10:00 am. The route closures/lane reductions are as follows: Harbour Drive – Road Closure 7:45am to 9:30am Water Street – Lane Closure Waldegrave to Prescott (East)...
There will be a lane reduction on Adelaide Street, between George Street and New Gower Street, to accommodate the ongoing repairs at the City Hall Annex. The lane will remain open to all motorists however they can expect significat delays, signage and flag persons will be in place....
Residents of St. John's are advised that there is a watermain break in the area of The Battery, Signal Hill and Cabot Avenue. Areas affected are residents of The Battery, #70 Signal Hill Road, 1, 3, and 5 Cabot Avenue....

...Motorists and pedestrians are advised that there will be repairs to a washout on Petty Harbor Road just West of Crockers Bridge today, April 13, and Thursday, April 14, 2016.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and will be stop and go during that time.

Residents of St. John's are advised that the watermain break is now fixed and water has been restored to Holbrook Avenue, Holbrook Place, and Cowan Avenue.
...Due to the high winds, the Commercial Tipping Face at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will remain closed for the remainder of today, Monday, April 4, 2016. Also, NLL Recycling will be closing for the remainder of the day.
